IMS is a company specializing in products for monitoring and control of power energy. Founded in 1981, develops, produces and markets highly efficient electronic equipment that monitors and control the amount and quality of energy used, allowing its customers optimize the spending power.
Investment in research and development of own technologies have allowed IMS to earn credibility in a market segment that requires dynamic and high levels of technical training. IMS offers to its customers training, technical support and assistance. IMS meets these market demands with constant innovation in products and solutions, always aiming the satisfaction and better cost x benefit to their customers.
1981 – Establishment.
1990 – Move to the current site.
1995 – First large investment for R&D and plant, Fluke 5500 calibrator.
1998 – First agreements for shares in profits and results with employers.
2001 – Parallel to the approval of ANEEL Directive 505, IMS develops the second technological platform in power quality meters.
2002 – Joins SEBRAE’s RUMO a ISO program. Release of portable energy analyzers.
2004 – IMS obtains the NBR ISO9001:2000 Standard certification from DQS do Brasil Ltda. With Directive 505 alterations and the rapidity with which IMS meets the new requirements, IMS is able to obtain the leadership in the domestic market in the supply for equipment to record the quality of energy supplied by the distributors.
2005 – With ANEEL’s Directive 505 expected to be included on PRODIST, it forwards the Power Quality Project to FINEP INOVAÇÃO. Project n. 3739/05, which originated the PowerNET PQ 100 Power Quality Analyzer. It starts a partnership with universities. Release of the demand controller featuring Fuzzi technology.
2006 – It wins its first international bidding and starts to provide power quality analyzers for power distributors abroad (UTE – Uruguay). In order to increase the spread of the brand, it starts to promote Power NEWS (mailing). Release of Ethernet/RS485/RS232/USB communication converters.
2007 – It adds to the R&D department the FLUKE 6100/80 calibrator, becoming the first industry in Brazil to have this calibrator. It invests in the change of its logo, performing a visual communication study with SEBRAE’s Via Design program support. It releases its new logo at FIEE-SP/2007.
2008 – It joins SEBRAE-RS’ product certification project, and along with SINDVEL – Sindicato das Indústrias do Vale da Eletrônica (Union of the Industries of the Electronics Valley), joins projects promoted by APEX BRASIL. It participates in the events: FIEE-BH/ Brazil, Buyer Project – APEX, EXPO ELÉTRICA/ Mexico, BRASIL Tecnológico – Bogotá/Colombia, APEX Mission – Caracas/ Venezuela, MERCOPAR – Caxias do Sul/ RS-Brazil, SENDI – Seminário de Companhias de Distribuidoras de Energia (Power Distribution Companies Seminar) – Olinda/PE-Brazil.
2009 – APEXBRASIL Project – BRASIL Tecnológico- LIMA Businesses Running – Peru, May/09, APEXBRASIL Buyer Project, FIEE-SP/Brazil, CBQE – Congresso Brasileiro de Qualidade de Energia (Brazilian Congress of Power Quality)- Blumenau/SC-Brazil. Release of Power Quality Analyzers, GRPS communication, transducer with internal CT, power factor controller connected to the utility meter, and power management software. Registration of Invention Patent Application n. PI 0901121-8, titled “Electronic Sensor for capturing Electric Signal”. With the Voltage Grader project, it is classified in 5th place in the INOVARS/FINEP/SEBRAE/FIERGS Invitation for Bid.
2010 – IMS obtains the NBR ISO9001:2008 Standard certification from DQS do Brasil Ltda.
2011- Expansion of the calibration lab and purchase of OMICRON CMC 256plus three-phase calibrator.
IMS has an active participation in the segment in which it operates; participating in APL – Automação e Controle (Automation and Control) and ABINEE – RS board, besides taking part in SEBRAE – Electronic Section and APEX BRASIL’s programs since 2008.
